Dear Friend

        I wanted to dedicate the first official post of the Friendship and School Column to something meaningful to me. I will make this for my friend.  I will not name this person. I chose to do a letter. It might not mean a lot to you, a fellow Star, but to me it is very important.
       I chose to do a letter. Thank you Sora for giving me this inspiration on your Dear... Instagram posts.

Dear Friend, 
       I haven't written a letter to you like this before. Actually, I haven't written you any letter before. 
      I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me. I guess I was being selfish. I never knew, you never told me, but I should have guessed. I should have acted more Abnegation-like. 
     Sometimes, I feel like our personalities don't match. We don't look from the same viewpoint. I'm generally a characterized with a strong-ness. If it's one thing in life I learned to do, it is to move on. However,  it's not always a good thing. 
     I feel that I left you behind. You haven't learned to let go yet. You are still in a fantasized world. I want to let you stay there as long as possible. But we have to grow up at one point; I think I know too much and grew up so long ago. Because of that, I have such complex thoughts about the world. Wonderland is just a terribly beautiful place.
     Maybe because I left you so long, you start to loose faith in me. So you ran to another one of our good friends. We were so close to each other; we went through ups and downs with smiles and frowns and tears.
     I had and do accept you for who you are. I guess you don't accept me. You look at me with jealousy in your eyes; I pity you for doing so. I am not as perfect as it seems. My calm hides a storm and it's threatening to escape. 
    As I write this to you, tears are flowing. You will never know. I think also don't know the fact that I look back at memories like you do too. I can't just be moving on, you know.
     I know people can't stay in a perfect moment forever. I'm trying to let you know that. I look bad in your eyes for forcing you to understand. I just don't want you too break all at the same time. I hope you can ease the pain by knowing. 
     Please also realize that it's not just you that has trust issues. I do, too. I'm suspicious at heart. I wasn't always like this. 
     If I do loose trust in you some day, try to make me remember. But if your honesty starts to falter, it'd be hard for you to earn than the first time. 
     We have our inside jokes, but you're not here. You're lost in some other time. I'm younger, but I need you to know this.

      I'll always be there from now on.

Book Review: Divergent

Several months ago, I had finished Divergent by Veronica Roth. The book was given to me by my brother as a Christmas present and I was right into it.

I was finished in three days. It's a very catchy style of writing, almost like The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Here though is a dystopian fiction story about a girl named Beatrice. This is the future Chicago. Trains are the main form of transportation between factions.
To prevent war, five factions were created. The Abnegation were those who proclaimed selfishness to be a main evil. The Amity believed that it was cruelty. The Candor believed that it was dishonesty. The Dauntless shared an idea of cowardice creating this. The Erudite were those who blamed the lack of knowledge.
At the age of sixteen, every child of a faction was given a choice to change factions. If they did, they would not be able to see their parents other than Visiting Day. The quote "faction before blood" holds true in everyone's hearts.
Everyone is given an Aptitude Test before the day to help each person determine the faction that a person will most likely be in. Beatrice's aptitude confuses herself and will put her through danger.

This is a dystopian romance and adventure book. It has appealed me to go back many times. I am obsessed with this series. A third book is coming out this year. A movie for Divergent is also coming. I am counting down the days to it.

The copy is in both paperback and hardcover. Whichever one you feel is better, can be bought. I hope this book review helped!

Friendship and School Forum

 From Sora and Yuki's problems that people needed help on, I started to realize that books aren't the major emotional thing in life -well, sometimes I might disagree with that because we tend to fan girl over shippings and losses-.

  I also realized that living in this dramatic world we have problems with just so many things. Somethings that we have problems with are moving, changing schools, not being able to fit in, have your friends dump you, or just not having anyone to rely on. These are all things that happen and they can affect our lives in big ways.

I have faced all of the things that I mentioned. It's true. I was called "fat" and my face isn't a natural beauty. I know this. Please don't be afraid to ask for some help.

I won't judge. I was always the fair one in my groups. I don't want to bias my opinions, so I don't. It helps to release those feelings. Do not let them well up inside of you, open up! :). I'll be right here. You can stay anonymous.

Fashion Forum Alert

Sometime during next week we will have a Fashion Forum for all your fashion needs. Just come check in and choose your style. 

Not everyone works the same way so there will be different types of ways to dress for each new season. These "types" will be put into categories and might even be hand-drawn to show you how it works. Like matching things that aren't supposed to match is something that is creative and you could look forward to.

buoyant- adjective

I would like you to describe yourself as a buoyant person today! It's a good thing. Check out what it means if you don't already know.

This is the weekly vocab word:

buoyant- (adj) 1. quick to recover emotionally from a disappointment or failure; 2. characterized by liveliness and light-heartedness

Synonyms:  cheerful, light-hearted, joyful, carefree, optimistic, spirited, floatable, floating, unsinkable, expansive, lifting

If something happens to make you feel like a storm cloud is over your head (which I hope doesn't happen), this blog will always be here for you to become buoyant again.

Blog Format

Phew! I just finished setting up the format for the blog. Going through pages and labels, it's so tiring. But I'm finally done.

I just realized we had a translate button and several other cool things. Tell us how you felt about the change about commenting below.

Another thing that I wanted to mention is thanks to everyone that take our advice. If you do not accept what we tell you, it's okay. We understand that. On the other hand, we do not accept rude comments such as saying for us to die and such. That is not appreciated on this blog. It is a friendly website. Please keep this in mind.

Creative Writing and Literature Column

Hey guys, it's the book nerd/lover/blogger, Kiku here!

I am here for all of your books and literature. I love to write as much as I love to read. These days, I have noticed people forget the joy of reading. If it's because you don't want to be "caught" reading, don't worry! That's a foolish thing. Books don't make your popularity lower. They actually help you.

Vocabulary and your imagination increase as your library expands. My bookshelf gets larger by the months. I get new books constantly.

In this part of the blog, I will try to recommend the best books and give an overall review, have writing contests, and give writing tips.

If the bullying is an issue because of books just comment in this section following the format that I posted. If you need someone to talk to because of a book come to me! If it is a piece of writing that you want help with, come! All letters are accepted!

Being the nerd and all, I have always tried to be the neatest that I can. So I hope you can to.

To protect your private information, we ask that you DO NOT log into your Google account and such. It is safer for you to give a name that is related to the subject. Check the example that I have created to give you a better understanding.

Dear ____,
     I have this major test coming up. I am so nervous for it. I am a student who does not study a lot. I get good test scores like that by cramming at the last minute. 
     This test will determine my future. I am scared that I will fail. I am almost certain that I will. Please help!
